FAQ

How do I order a Charcuterie Board?

You can head to the "Contact Us" Section and sent us a note, or reach out directly via email at covencatery@gmail.com. Let us know what you're looking for, preferred size and/or number of people you're serving and date and time of your event.  We'll then work together to chose the perfect option for you. We will then send over an invoice. We will then determine the whether you would prefer to pick up your order or have it delivered. Payment for Picnic Boxes and Charcuterie Boards is expected at the time of your order. 

How far in advance should I place my order?

The sooner the better! Our weekday orders are limited and require advanced notice. Weekends fill up quickly, especially as it nears the holiday season. Rule of thumb, if you're thinking about ordering, we would recommend reaching out to us as early as possible. However, if you're in a jam or need a last minute appetizer to bring to friend's house, we ask for at a minimum, 48 hours notice. 

What do I do with the board when I'm finished, do I have to give it back to you?

It's yours to keep! Seriously! Each board is uniquely chosen for each client and after you receive your charcuterie board from us, the board and it's contents are yours to keep! We have customers re-use them to make their own charcuterie trays, some use them as serving-ware for future holidays and some use them as decoration. Whatever you decide, the board is yours!

What is the difference between a "Flat Lay" Table and a "Multi-Dimensional" Table?

"Flat Lay" has no height or accessories but has everything regularly included in the table descriptions which you can find on the "Grazing Tables" tab. It is adorned with greenery and light flowers and includes all necessary serving utensils. The Flat Lay is also completely disposable and easy clean up.

Multi-dimensional tables come with slightly heavier hors d'oeuvres, full use of our tablescape accessories and access to our rentals. Rentals include but are not limited to, vases, crates, boards, baskets, boards, etc. Additionally, they are finished off with lush greenery and fresh florals. .

Do you provide the physical table for the Grazing Table?

Not at this time. The client is responsible for providing an adequate space for us to create a spread upon. If you're not interested  in renting a table, we can certainly create "tables" on various counters, islands and other surfaces within the home. If you need any table rental recommendations we are happy to help with that. 

How does set-up/ clean-up work if I want a Grazing Table at my event?

For flat lay grazing tables (no rentals provided by us) we typically require 2 hours of set up time at the location/venue depending on the amount of people being served. Since we do not need our rentals back and everything included in the table is disposable, clean up is a breeze. Just roll up the butcher paper and throw away the scraps!

For multi-dimensional the same amount of time is required for set up (approximately 2 hours depending) and the customer is responsible for making sure the rentals are free of large particles of food and returning or arranging pick up of rentals with us.

What about plates, napkins and cutlery?

We do not provide plates or napkins, and generally we try to put out a spread that requires no cutlery - however, plates and napkins can be added-on if desired. We offer a great option for an eco-friendly disposables, so feel free to inquire about them! We do however, provide all necessary serving items.  

Can my table have a theme?

Absolutely!  We love themes and offer unique styling options for every table. We can create many different aesthetics such as rustic winery, modern,  romantic wedding, bohemian, eclectic, etc... Since every table is custom, we fully collaborate with the client to create a  table that matches their vision.  

When you say each set up is enough food for 20+ people, what does that mean?

A number of factors come into play when determining how many people each tablescape will feed. This concept applies to our boards and picnic boxes as well. If presented as a meal, our tablescapes are great for approximately 20-25 people. If presented as an appetizer prior to a meal, it can serve approximately 40-50+ people. If you’re looking for something larger, we can always add on, however it is difficult for us to provide a spread for less than 20 people. Just tell us a little more about your event and we’ll be happy to give you an idea of what that means for you!

Do you deliver?

We absolutely deliver! We know it's sometimes difficult to pick up an order, especially while setting up for guests. We also love creating tablescapes out of town, and in new settings. We do charge a travel fee which is $1/mile to the location and back with the first 20 miles free of charge. When it comes to traveling more than 2 hours away, we can only offer flat lay grazing tables with rentals provided by the client and not our own. When inquiring about travel, please provide an exact address to the location/venue so we may calculate the travel fee and include it in the quote! 

Do you have a store front?

Not at the moment, but hopefully soon! Until then, we offer delivery for a small fee or arrange for you to pick up your order!
